On this site I will accumulate a lot of the information I read about running an e-commerce site.
The purpose is primarely to allow myself the freedom to have a knowledge storage, but at the same time, I believe that a lot of other webmanagers out there could use my accumulated information.
The site is build upon
7 different areas of running an e-commerce site, that is based on an model from the book e-Retailing by Charles Dennis (Dennis, 2004), which is nicely build. My primary focus will be on B2C sites and since im from Denmark the information will have some bias, but I will try to minimice the amount of bias.
At the same time, I will (which is differnet from a lot of other sites) try to have as many sources to the information I write, and will of course point out, when the information is based on my own observations.
A short introduction is probably appropriate to establish some amount of trust from the beginning. :)
My name is Dennis Cassøe, born in 1979 and lives in Aarhus, Denmark, the second largest city in Denmark. I live with my lovely girlfriend Maria Møller Nielsen, who is studiyng Psychology at Aaarhus University and she is at the moment writing her Master thesis.
On a professional level, I graduated as master of science in business informatics from
Aarhus School of Business in august 2004 with a Master thesis on personalization of B2C websites and with a nice grade average :) Since then I have been emplyoed at
Silkeborg Data, where I worked with integrating a payroll system with external systems from 2005/01-2006/12. I january 2007 I moved to my current emplyment at
Wupti.com, an online whitegoods and electronics B2C e-commerce site where I employed as Web- and IT-manager.
